The Michigan City Municipal Airport Board of Aviation Commissioners and the City of Michigan City, with support from numerous local businesses and organizations, are currently pursuing an expansion of the Michigan City Municipal Airport by extending the runway to better serve the needs of not only the city but also the needs of the entire community and surrounding areas.

Staffed hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM CT. Fuel and restrooms are available 24/7 with our UNICOM code.

The airport has one asphalt runway (2/20) that is 4,100 feet long and 75 feet wide. Plans are in place to extend the runway to 5,000 feet in the future.
